To Cyndi and her family, my prayers are with you and your family. I never had the pleasure of meeting your Dad in person but did enjoy speaking with him on the phone a few times.

At graduation, Tom signed my highschool yearbook "Tornado Tom, the Irish Bomb."
Two years before I arrived at Portsmouth during a difficult time in my life, and the Irish Bomb's bright spirit helped me to smile and laugh and enjoy a sunny day.
In worldly terms, Tom's illness has laid him down like a stone.
Yet we have been promised that at a time of the Father's choosing, Tom will be raised up like a loaf.
He will be found on the Son's right. For
Tornado Tom became a peacemaker, a child of the Holy One, and "it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven
belongs" (Matthew 19:14).

HAVE YOU EVER KNOWN AN IRISHMAN WHO COULDN'T MAKE YOU SMILE
A MAN OF GENEROSITY WHO WOULD WALK THE EXTRA MILE.
THERE IS ONE SUCH MAN , I KNEW FOR YEARS, SO YOUNG AND FULL OF ZEST,
HE WOULD CLIMB THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN 'TIL HE BECAME THE BEST.
THIS BLACK HAIRED, BLUE EYED IRISHMAN, WOULD ALWAYS STAY THE COURSE,
IN WORK OR PLAY, FOREVER FAIR, THESE TRAITS CAUSED NO REMORSE.

HE SPOKE WITH FLATTERING SPEECH HE DID, AND TREATED ALL AS FRIEND,
THE LIST OF FRIENDS WOULD FILL A BOOK, BOTH KINGS AND COMMON MEN.
BUT BEYOND HIS WORK , THERE IS CHARITY TO ALL WHO ARE IN NEED,
FOR HE TAKES HIS GREATEST PLEASURE IN AN AGE OLD CHRISTIAN CREED.
TO DO UNTO OTHERS AS DONE TO HIM, AND DO THE THING THAT'S RIGHT,
THOSE SIMPLE ACTS OF KINDNESS, THAT HELP US SLEEP AT NIGHT.

HAVE YOU EVER KNOWN AN IRISHMAN WITHOUT A TWINKLE IN HIS EYE, WHO'D DRESS ON ST. PADDY'S DAY,, IN GREEN HAT, AND SHIRT AND TIE,
HE LOVED TO LAUGH AND PARTY IN A STYLE WE'D LABEL GRAND,
AS MUCH AT HOME WITH AN IRISH JIG, AS WITH MARIACHI BAND.
HE VENTURE FOURTH ON YEARLY HUNTS, OR SIT WITH FISHING POLE,
HE LOVED TO WATCH THE GREAT SEAS CREST, AND NATURE TO UNFOLD,

BUT HIS GREATEST JOYS O'ER MANY YEARS ,IS HIS LOVELY ERMA JEAN,
AND HIS DAUGHTERS CYNTHIA, CHRISTINA, HIS KILIAN AND KATHERINE.
AND OF COURSE HIS BOY NAMED AFTER HIM, IN WHICH HE TAKES SUCH PRIDE,
AND HOPEFULLY INSTILL IN HIM, THOSE THINGS THAT WILL ABIDE.
TO SIT AT FAMILY GATHERINGS, AND ENJOY THE SIMPLE THINGS,
HE SAVORED LIFE AND FILLED HIS TIME, WITH THE LOVE THAT ALL THIS BRINGS,
AND THEN THERE WAS THE GENTLE MAN OF TRUE SINCERITY,
HE SPOKE WITH CANDOR, GOOD HUMOR TOO, AND ALWAYS CLARITY

  continued....

BUT NOW THE DAYS HAVE DARKENED, FOR HE HAS LEFT THE ROOM.
GONE FROM OUR SIDE IS THIS CHERISHED MAN, AND WE ARE LEFT IN GLOOM.
BUT HE IS HE, AND YOU ARE YOU, SO CALL HIM BY HIS NAME,
SPEAK TO HIM AS YOU ALWAYS DID, FOR EVERYTHING'S THE SAME.
SPEAK TO HIM FOR HE'S NOT A GHOST, HE MEANS WHAT HE ALWAYS MEANT,
IT'S JUST THE SAME AS IT EVER WAS FOR DEATH IS A NEGLIBLE ACCIDENT,.
BECAUSE HE IS OUT OF OUR SIGHT...HE SHOULD BE OUT OF OUR MIND?
NOT SO SAYS CHRIST FOR ALL IS WELL, JUST LIKE LIKE THE DAYS OF YORE,
IT IS JUST ONE BRIEF MOMENT, AND THEN CONTINUES JUST LIKE IT WAS BEFORE.

I KNOW IT'S TIME TO HOLD FAST OUR FAITH, WITH THE PASSING OF THIS MAN,
BUT WE KNOW OF A PLACE WHERE HE'S FOUND HIS PEACE.
IN GOD'S GREAT AND LOVING HAND.

To my Dear Friend Kelly and her family that I have grown up with for over 15 years,

I will miss your Dad's way of making me laugh within minutes of walking into the house, his midnight runs into his secret stash of fudge, the way he put me to work like I was one of the family. I never will meet another human being that can walk with Kings and sit with the common man and still find a way to connect. His personal passions inspired me to live with more energy and I will always be grateful for the memories. I always will admire his conviction to his beliefs and faith in God. I won't forget how much he loved to work and watch the movies from George all at the same time. Mr. Tracy, to answer your infamous question, "Yes, I am feeling alot better." :)

With All My Love and Prayers I am thinking of you all: Mrs. Tracy, Cyndi, Tina, Kerry, Kelly and Tommy. You are so blessed to have had such a loving and joyful husband and Dad.

Love,

Christina

My family and I would like to express our deepest condolences to the Tracy family.

My dad has worked for Tom since 1987. He had nothing but good things to say about Tom. My dad would tell us kids how friendly, thoughtful, fair, and kind Tom was to his employees and to my dad. When Tom had visitors in the plant (no matter who it was or their professional status), Tom would always call my dad over and introduce him to them. Every time Tom drove by in his cart, he would always greet my dad and ask him how his kids were doing. My dad would say that Tom was not just a boss who worked in the office, he was out in the plant getting his hands dirty and leading by example. Tom always treated my dad with respect and always made time to get to know my dad and his family. My dad has the most profound respect for Tom as a person, friend, and boss.

From reading Tom’s biography, I can see that Tom has made a difference in the lives of many people (including my dad). All of us will surely miss Tom.

Jimmy

I was reading one of my favorite Catholic mystics who was brought back in time to when our Lord was informed of Lazarus's death. It was here that our Savior wept for his friend. Our Lord then told her that death is really a cosmic aberration. Brought to us by original sin. Well Tom, your death is an aberration, only for a fleeting dream of a moment far, far away! For now you are embracing infinite LOVE. Goodbye my friend, though only for a moment!!

Please know that our hearts are saddened by the news of Tom's passing. Tom was a wonderful man and very good to me and my family.
Bill held Tom with the utmost respect and honored his honesty. Bill worked for Tom for 33 years before Bill's passing in 1998.
Erma Jean, I know the emotions that you are feeling at this time. I hold you very close in my heart. My prayers for you and your family are of open heart and flowing.
May God Bless all of you in your time of sorrow. God knows your needs and he is always there for you.
I send these word on behalf of my family and myself.
